System Protection Engineer III (Electrical Engineering)

Salary: USD $99,778–$128,045 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Perform fault analysis for utility, generation, and municipal power projects.
• Develop relay settings and related documentation for protective relays and control IEDs.
• Serve as the interface with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments on technical matters.
• Act as engineering lead or technical reviewer on assigned projects.
• Coordinate project deliverables with engineering and project management teams.
• Help maintain project budgets and schedules while following quality control and assurance practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• At least five years of electrical engineering experience with relay settings.
• Knowledge of transmission, substation, and distribution protection applications.
• Experience with ASPEN and AcSELerator Quickset is required.
• Professional Engineer registration or EIT status is preferred.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, CYME, CAPE, and other manufacturer relay software is preferred.
