Senior Construction Manager - Professional Engineer (Pipeline Construction): Leading construction management for large-diameter pipeline projects from preconstruction through closeout with an accent on technical leadership, field inspection, contract administration, and client coordination. Location: Houston or Pearland, Texas; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work and regular driving to construction sites throughout the Houston area.

What you will do
- Lead construction management for large and complex pipeline projects as project manager or technical lead.
- Coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Oversee construction observation, inspection, material sampling and testing, quantity measurements, and resolution of nonconforming work.
- Review contractor work for compliance with contract documents and manage RFIs, submittals, interpretations, change orders, schedules, claims, pay requests, meetings, and closeout.
- Advise clients on construction needs, project risks, and delivery decisions while supporting long-term relationships and business development.
- Lead and develop staff through work planning, coaching, performance feedback, and daily direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of relevant construction experience as a construction manager or superintendent.
- Proficiency with project management information systems and the ability to mentor others in their use.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of alternative project delivery methods.
- Ability to regularly drive to construction sites throughout the Houston area.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
- Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) certification.
- Experience leading construction management for large-diameter pipeline projects.
- Experience working with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
