Assistant Manager, Product Development

Location: West Hollywood, California, United States; hybrid schedule with work from the Corporate Office at least 60% of the time

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan

What you will do

• Support and manage multiple product development projects from concept through commercialization, tracking milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
• Maintain development calendars and critical paths, monitor launch dates, and flag timeline or scope risks.
• Organize, evaluate, and provide feedback on formulas and shade submissions from contract manufacturers.
• Assess texture, payoff, performance, color, and the overall product experience.
• Develop product briefs and maintain libraries of formulations, shade ranges, and competitive benchmarks.
• Partner with Marketing, Project Management, Packaging, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, vendors, and other stakeholders to support product launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, ideally in the beauty industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in beauty product development, preferably in color cosmetics.
• Strong knowledge and passion for makeup, formulas, color, texture, and product experience.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, project management, communication, presentation, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and survey tools.
• Ability to work from the Corporate Office at least 60% of the time and travel for shade matching, pilot or production approvals, and trade shows as needed.
