What you will do

• Support underwriting and risk evaluation across Inland Marine, Ocean Cargo, Marine Liability, and related specialty products.
• Review underwriting submissions, exposure information, loss history, and other data for risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
• Collaborate with underwriters, risk consultants, claims professionals, and multinational specialists on tailored insurance solutions.
• Support new business, renewals, broker and client relationships, and profitable portfolio growth.
• Analyze market trends and emerging risks related to transportation, global trade, and commerce.
• Build technical knowledge of marine insurance along with analytical, decision-making, and relationship-management skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree expected no later than June 2028; an unofficial transcript is required with the application.
• Availability for the complete nine-week program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
• Ability to work in the Houston office at least four days per week.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice to have

• Major in Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Interest in global trade, transportation, commercial insurance, risk management, or evaluating complex exposures.
