What you will do
- Analyze ocean, air, domestic, and international freight contracts and shipping routes to support negotiations.
- Request, prepare, and evaluate freight quotes, rates, proposals, tariffs, and surcharges.
- Maintain rate summaries in Excel and review freight invoices for accuracy and correct General Ledger coding.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with internal teams, vendors, freight forwarders, and carriers.
- Support Compliance, Supply Chain, Global Operations, and Finance with shipment tracking, expedited shipments, freight cost analysis, and invoice approval.
- Monitor logistics volumes and spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and resolve carrier performance issues or damage claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in international logistics, including cold chain logistics and biological sample shipments.
- Knowledge of Hazmat Dangerous Goods shipping requirements, transport tariffs, global carriers, and services.
- Strong understanding of incoterms and excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud and Freight Payment Centers.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze data and apply findings to improve operations.
