Technical Laboratory Coordinator - Biological Sciences

Location: On-site at hirify.global's campus in Fort Worth, Texas

Compensation: $19.04 per hour, negotiable based on funding availability and relevant experience. Temporary casual position, maximum 19 hours per week, non-benefits eligible.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations and ensure compliance with laboratory standards and practices.
• Procure equipment and supplies, manage chemical storage, safety labeling, inventory, and laboratory records.
• Maintain laboratory facilities, equipment, and instrumentation; arrange repairs and recommend facility improvements.
• Develop standard operating procedures and instrumentation-use procedures, including appropriate laboratory waste handling and disposal.
• Support instructional materials, new experiments, and curricula for teaching laboratories.
• Supervise laboratory staff and students, coordinate laboratory teaching assignments, and potentially teach undergraduate lab courses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Three years of related experience in laboratory operations.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory equipment, computers, and mainframe environments.
• Oral and written communication skills, multitasking ability, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
