Principal Water Resources Engineer

What you will do

• Lead and deliver water resources, hydrology, drainage, and surface water management projects.
• Prepare and review technical reports, management plans, impact assessments, regulatory submissions, environmental approvals documentation, and other project deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mining, infrastructure, and environmental projects.
• Mentor junior staff and support capability development and team growth.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, client engagement, and broader business development.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in hydrology, engineering, environmental science, water resources, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in hydrology, water resource management, or related fields.
• Experience with industry-standard modelling and GIS software, including TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, MUSIC, GoldSim, QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar tools.
• Proven project management and client relationship-building skills.
• Experience preparing high-quality technical reports and proposals.
• Demonstrated interest in mentoring staff and contributing to team development.
