Workstation PC Technician (Windows/PC Hardware): Supporting a Microsoft-based network and preparing, deploying, repairing, and maintaining PCs, Macs, laptops, and related equipment with an accent on hardware troubleshooting, asset management, and direct client interaction. Focus on executing equipment replacements, resolving network and peripheral issues, performing backups and data recovery, and transporting assets between facilities.
Location: San Diego, CA 92120, United States; onsite work with equipment transport between multiple facilities.
Salary: $15–19 per hour, W2

What you will do
- Receive, manage, stage, deploy, replace, and prepare PC assets for disposition.
- Install and maintain PC hardware and software across PCs, Macs, servers, and laptops.
- Scan systems, interview clients, and document applications, settings, and deployment requirements.
- Troubleshoot network usage, peripherals, communication problems, and email administration issues.
- Perform system backups, data recovery, disk capacity monitoring, and network security tasks.
- Transport equipment between facilities using a vehicle provided by the supplier or contractor.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of PC support experience, including deployment.
- At least 2 years of PC hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- At least 1 year of direct client interaction experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft-based networks, including Windows XP, Windows 7, and Lotus Notes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, adapt to changing processes, and maintain attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and behavior, punctuality, and the ability to transport equipment between assigned facilities.
