Software Engineer I - Loss Sensitive (Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Node.js, AI)

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Annual base salary: $99,100–$163,400, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Analyze, design, develop, configure, test, debug, and troubleshoot software systems.
• Build and support billing and receivables management systems for hirify.global' largest insureds.
• Define technical requirements for assignments of intermediate complexity.
• Investigate and resolve defects and incidents, perform impact analysis, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Document systems, monitor application health, configure alerting, and implement solutions based on user or system specifications.
• Work independently on well-scoped problems while collaborating with the team and expanding technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least three years of programming or development experience, with two additional years of software engineering experience required.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservice APIs, AWS EKS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, Node.js, and AWS Lambda.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, GitHub, AWS CDK, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Experience with AI or GenAI and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, delivery, and intermediate leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Preferred AWS cloud certifications.
