Engineer, Quality 3 (Ammunition Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Parsons, Kansas, United States; approximately 10% travel.

Salary: $80,640–$120,960 annually.

What you will do

• Provide quality engineering support to assigned programs and develop defect-prevention and process-improvement methods.
• Apply statistical problem-solving techniques and military or other technical specifications to resolve quality issues involving suppliers, customers, and government-provided materials.
• Coordinate Quality Management System functions, including inspection methods, FMEA, process mapping, root cause analysis, SPC, and inspection equipment use.
• Prepare quality engineering plans, project reports, technical documentation, and QMS records.
• Lead First Article Testing and product inspections for supplied parts and ammunition items.
• Support team training matrix reviews, customer actions, and determination of customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, a technical discipline, or Engineering.
• 5 or more years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of safe operating procedures and ability to communicate and enforce them.
• Effective communication, cross-disciplinary collaboration, problem-solving, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to regularly perform job functions at the company office or work site in Parsons, Kansas.
• Ability to read and write complex documents and communicate orally in English.
