Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work arrangement. The role provides 18 remote workdays per quarter with manager approval.
Base salary: $105,000β$115,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and potential long-term rewards.

What you will do
- Capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, integrations, system designs, tests, data transformations, and reports.
- Develop applications and expand datasets for a cloud-based data analytics platform supporting private-markets investment decisions.
- Onboard new datasets, document data quality issues, and investigate irregularities with internal teams and external vendors.
- Build functional prototypes and define manual and automated tests using SQL, Python, and related technologies.
- Maintain project artifacts, including task boards, use cases, application documentation, release notes, and technical writeups.
- Collaborate with investment professionals, engineers, researchers, QA, vendors, suppliers, and IT teams.
Requirements
- 3β5 years of business analyst experience, preferably in investment management or the FinTech industry.
- Experience with investment data management, especially IBOR or other book-of-record systems.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis, with knowledge of conceptual and logical data modeling.
- Experience onboarding and validating large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD practices, agile software development, requirements elicitation, and technical documentation.
