Location: New Johnsonville Plant, New Johnsonville, Tennessee, United States; onsite role.
Salary: $97,843–$152,880 per year, plus an 8% annual bonus target.

What you will do
- Lead permitting, compliance, and technical problem-solving for solid waste, wastewater, domestic water, stormwater, spill control, and air programs.
- Develop and improve environmental and process safety systems, procedures, sustainable processes, and employee capability.
- Serve as the site leader for the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, including certification readiness and sustainment.
- Conduct environmental audits and participate in second- and third-party audits.
- Facilitate incident investigations and review regulatory developments affecting EHS operations.
- Perform laboratory testing, calculations, analysis, field monitoring, and sampling while maintaining testing accuracy and integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or safety discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in an environmental-related field.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, laws, standards, and compliance programs.
- Ability to plan, implement, audit, and improve sustainable EHS processes.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, computer, oral, and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- At least 5 years of experience with environmental permitting and compliance programs such as RCRA, NPDES, and Title V.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing experience involving highly hazardous chemicals or equivalent military experience.
- Technical and regulatory knowledge of safety and process safety management, including OSHA requirements.
