Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Oncology - Per Diem

What you will do

• Assess patients and implement priority-based nursing care plans.
• Establish care goals and integrate patient values, evidence, and best practices.
• Provide compassionate care to adolescent and adult medical-surgical patients.
• Care for patients undergoing vascular, colorectal, gynecological, and urological surgery, oncology therapies, and palliative care.
• Engage patients and families and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Work within the scope of practice after completing the competency-based orientation program.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with an ASN or BSN.
• Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire required.
• Obtain Basic Life Support competency within 30 days.
• Obtain intravenous therapy, pre- and post-operative surgical patient management, and central line management competencies within 90 days.
• Obtain general oncology care and palliative care competencies within 180 days.
• Complete Chemotherapy Administration competency through an Oncology Nursing Society program within two years.
