Environmental Field Technician - Power Start-Ups (Stack)

Location: Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA; field work at customer locations with overnight and local travel up to 75% or more

Salary: $23.50–$28.00 per hour, plus potential overtime

What you will do

• Follow established testing methods and procedures to support consistent and reliable source testing.
• Perform field source tests professionally at customer locations.
• Collect and record complete, accurate test data on datasheets.
• Prepare project materials, including glassware preparation, cleaning, repair, calibration, and fabrication.

Requirements

• No previous experience required; transferable experience in labor, construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical, laboratory, environmental, or field science work is relevant.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel overnight and locally for multi-weekday projects up to 75% or more of the time, including weekend travel or work.
• Ability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical certification and an OSHA Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluation.
