Senior Auditor II, Compliance

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid work with 2+ days per week on-site

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 USD per year, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Plan and execute risk-based audits across Compliance, Legal, and AML functions.
• Assess key risks and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls.
• Identify and communicate internal control weaknesses, regulatory gaps, and process inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, AML, business management, and audit stakeholders.
• Manage multiple audit assignments and provide progress updates, observations, and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous monitoring, issue validation, and improvements to audit processes.

Requirements

• Experience planning and executing audits within a large financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of auditing practices, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and risk management.
• Experience or knowledge in consumer protection, conduct, AML and sanctions compliance, privacy, fair lending, complaints management, or regulatory change.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, investigation, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified United States location is required; employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• CAMS, CRCM, CPA, or CIA certification.
• MBA.
