Senior Manager, Engineering Web Connected TV (React)

Location: Bogota, Colombia; must be willing to work from Bogota and authorized to work in Colombia

What you will do

• Lead and develop a software engineering team responsible for web and Connected TV streaming applications.
• Own execution across multiple initiatives, including roadmap delivery, capacity planning, sprint execution, and forecasting.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and design reviews for complex platform initiatives.
• Partner with Product, Design, Backend, Data, Ads, Subscription, QA, Native App, and SRE teams to deliver scalable streaming experiences.
• Improve performance, observability, reliability, incident response, and production support across streaming platforms.
• Coach engineers, support recruitment, reduce technical debt, modernize platforms, and evaluate AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building large-scale production web applications and consumer-facing digital products.
• 4+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience managing software engineering teams in Agile environments.
• Experience delivering OTT, streaming, Connected TV, Smart TV, or other consumer-facing applications at scale.
• Strong expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, SSR/RSC, App Router, GraphQL, and modern frontend architecture.
• Experience with monorepos, scalable software architecture, distributed systems, frontend performance optimization, and video playback technologies such as Bitmovin, Shaka, hls.js, or dash.js.
• Must be authorized to work in Colombia; employment and education will be verified.

Nice to have

• Spanish language proficiency.
• Experience with DRM, SSAI, CSAI, live streaming, VOD playback, and video analytics.
• Experience with Connected TV UX, remote-control navigation, and 10-foot UI principles.
• Experience with GraphQL Federation, BFF architectures, A/B testing, feature flagging, progressive delivery, subscription, billing, or entitlement platforms.
• Background in streaming, media, sports, or entertainment organizations.
