What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard techniques and EPA methodology.
• Perform chemical analyses, calculate results, and record and report data and unusual test occurrences.
• Learn and become competent with complex laboratory instrumentation, including gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, and ICP systems.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, sample aliquoting and weighing, glassware washing, and general laboratory housekeeping.
• Follow GMP/GLP, EHS, QA, SOP, and safety requirements while completing work accurately and on schedule.

Requirements

• BS or BA in chemistry or a related field; three years of laboratory experience may substitute for the degree.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to use mathematical formulas and calculators, follow written or verbal instructions, and work independently.
• Ability to meet time and quality constraints and coordinate orally and in writing.
• Full-time availability Monday through Friday on the first shift.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory experience.
• Production-oriented work experience and familiarity with meeting deadlines.
• Experience or interest in organic preparation, metals analysis, radiochemistry, wet chemistry, or high- and low-resolution analysis.
