Utility Service Coordinator (Utilities)

Location: Knoxville, TN, USA; onsite work involving office duties, vehicle operation, and visits to customer properties.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary contact for commercial and residential land developers and builders.
• Prepare and review utility designs, economic analyses, cost estimates, and service agreements.
• Coordinate developers, contractors, engineers, inspectors, internal teams, and external agencies.
• Manage multiple land development and utility installation projects from start to finish.
• Advise customers on utility service policies, fees, easements, agreements, and related programs.
• Participate in occasional after-hours storm restoration efforts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fundamental understanding of electric, gas, water, and/or wastewater systems.
• Strong written and oral communication, customer service, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate and frequently enter and exit a vehicle.
• Ability to move across customer properties and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Three years of utility operations or related experience.
• Experience with utility design, installation, or construction.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, particularly CIS and GIS.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
