2027 Early Careers: Summer Intern, Forensic Accounting – United States, Dallas, TX & Chicago, IL

What you will do

• Collect, interpret, and analyze financial and business data related to commercial insurance claims.
• Assist with evaluating and quantifying complex business losses and preparing loss measurements.
• Analyze financial records and perform calculations to support claim evaluations and settlement decisions.
• Collaborate with forensic accountants, claims professionals, and subject matter experts.
• Document analyses, findings, and conclusions clearly and accurately.
• Develop knowledge of Commercial Property and Cyber insurance coverages and their application to forensic accounting.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree, with graduation no later than May 2028.
• Available for the complete 9-week internship from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced team environment.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, auditing concepts, and business fundamentals; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Major in Accounting, Finance, or a related business or quantitative field.
• Interest in forensic accounting, financial analysis, commercial insurance, or claims.
