What you will do

• Support accounting and financial reporting for Human Resources and Employee Benefits programs.
• Prepare complex financial schedules, reconciliations, regulatory reports, SEC reports, shareholder and Board reports, and internal management reports.
• Perform data interpretation, variance analysis, data integrity testing, and general ledger entries.
• Resolve reporting issues, communicate findings to management, and participate in special projects and process improvements.
• Maintain internal control standards and support the timely resolution of audit and regulatory findings.
• Mentor and cross-train junior team members while contributing to shared team workload and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience, or an associate degree and at least 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, operations, or financial institutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of finance, accounting, regulatory reporting concepts, business operations, bank products, and the banking industry.
• Advanced PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to maintain compliance with accounting standards, SEC disclosure requirements, bank regulations, internal controls, and risk policies.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience with data visualization or data querying applications.
