Annual base salary: $55,000–$65,000

What you will do
- Provide analytical support for underwriting and closing commercial real estate loans, securitizations, and affordable housing loans.
- Review financial statements, rent rolls, leases, appraisals, engineering and environmental reports, title and zoning reports, insurance policies, and other due diligence materials.
- Assist with loan closings and obtain required closing documentation.
- Research and summarize tenant, borrower, property, market, and submarket information, including financial trends, credit ratings, inventory, absorption, development, rents, and vacancy.
- Conduct interviews with brokers, appraisers, investors, and other market participants to gather market data.
- Prepare property, market, borrower, sponsor, and third-party report summaries for credit memos and asset summary reports, and assist with value conclusions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience; preferred fields include accounting, finance, real estate, and business.
- Entry-level professional with 0–2 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in commercial real estate or financial services.
- Familiarity with commercial real estate, affordable housing loans, due diligence, commercial lending, securitization, credit, and risk management.
- Understanding of office, retail, industrial, hotel, and multifamily property sectors and their investment characteristics.
- Excel, cash flow modeling, communication, and business writing skills.
- Experience with Argus and agency multifamily, CMBS, CRE balance sheet loans, or securitization is preferred.
