Laboratory Assistant (Wet Chemistry)

Location: Orange, California, United States; onsite at the Orange laboratory

What you will do

• Retrieve, receive, label, store, and dispose of samples according to SOPs, quality assurance requirements, and safety procedures.
• Prepare soil, water, and air samples under supervision, including filtration, aliquoting, and weighing.
• Prepare reagents and solutions using approved written procedures.
• Perform trained gravimetric and titrimetric measurements.
• Maintain laboratory work areas, glassware, storage locations, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Restock supplies, handle laboratory waste, use required PPE, and report unsafe conditions or spills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety practices.
• Ability to work in a stationary position for the full shift and lift up to 25 pounds independently or 50 pounds with assisted lifting equipment.
• Comfort working with strong acids and solvents.

Nice to have

• Prior laboratory, sample-handling, or wet chemistry experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience working under supervision in a team-based environment.
• Willingness to learn laboratory procedures and workflows.
