What you will do

• Serve as an independent Quality Control Engineer on station engineering physical design projects.
• Perform preliminary and detailed reviews of electrical plans, elevations, conduit layouts, grounding, lightning protection, schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnections, cable schedules, and bills of materials.
• Review equipment specifications and engineering calculations for safety, performance, and compliance.
• Evaluate constructability, interdisciplinary interfaces, and conformance with project requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback, participate in review meetings, and support design teams with engineering questions.
• Contribute industry knowledge and assist with the training and professional development of department personnel.

Requirements

• At least eight years of relevant experience in the designated engineering field.
• Experience leading station engineering physical design projects and knowledge of related schedules and timelines.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Proficiency in applying national and local standards, including ANSI/IEEE, the National Electrical Safety Code, ASTM, and AIC.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and record-keeping skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and engineering applications including Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
