Annual base salary: $89,800–$148,300, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do
- Underwrite and price moderately complex new and renewal accounts within assigned underwriting authority.
- Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business and territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with agents, brokers, and insureds through frequent meetings.
- Market insurance products, identify new business opportunities, and cross-sell products and services.
- Negotiate difficult situations, analyze underwriting problems, and make timely business decisions.
- Develop agency and regional sales plans while collaborating across business units and coaching less experienced staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or relevant agent/broker experience in some lines of business.
- At least two years of experience in underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial work, sales, product, or finance.
- Typically three to five years of relevant Account Executive experience.
- Previous Excess and Surplus/non-admitted underwriting experience.
- Knowledge of the local insurance marketplace, property and casualty operations, regulatory requirements, financial drivers, and profitability principles.
- Valid driver’s license or another means of personal transportation.
