Laboratory Technician I - Wet Chemistry (2nd Shift)

Location: Orange, California, United States; onsite in the Orange laboratory. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

Salary: $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Analyze water and soil samples for alkalinity, conductivity, pH, solids, turbidity, salinity, and related physical and chemical parameters.
• Perform analyses for oil and grease, cyanide, sulfides, BTU, corrosivity, iron, flash point, ignitability, MBAS, phenols, phosphates, ammonia, BOD, COD, hexavalent chromium, and TOC.
• Prepare samples and maintain organized records of preparation and analysis.
• Clean laboratory glassware and maintain clean, organized laboratory areas.
• Support inventory activities for consumables, chemicals, and instrumentation parts.
• Contribute to efficiency and accuracy improvement projects while following quality assurance and health and safety policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general laboratory practices, and laboratory safety.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for the entire shift and perform sitting, standing, and walking duties.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assisted lifting equipment.
