Principal Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States. Hybrid workstyle with attendance at a hirify.global office three days per week, including at least one Monday or Friday.

What you will do

• Architect and build production-grade agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, self-adaptation, and real-time knowledge orchestration.
• Extend Strands, CrewAI, LangGraph, Agent Core, and related frameworks with standardized, reusable components.
• Develop secure, resilient cloud-native solutions using AWS services including Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway, SageMaker, and Bedrock.
• Implement monitoring, tracing, evaluation pipelines, guardrails, and safety controls for reliable agent behavior.
• Design integrations involving retrieval systems, vector databases, embeddings, tool/function calling, MCP servers, and multi-agent workflows.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle from technical design through deployment and iteration, collaborating with data science, engineering, security, risk, and compliance teams.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of general professional experience and a required bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with TypeScript, Go, or Java is beneficial.
• Required experience with agentic or LLM frameworks such as Strands, CrewAI, LangGraph, Agent Core, or similar technologies.
• Strong AWS architecture, secure API design, data modeling, CI/CD, containerization, observability, and production software engineering skills.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock and foundation models, prompt and context engineering, agent memory and state management, evaluation, hallucination mitigation, content filtering, and human-in-the-loop oversight.
• Must work in the United States and attend a hirify.global office three days per week. This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with fine-tuning LLMs, Terraform, financial services, and deploying large language models on-premises.
• Experience with time-boxed A2A and Swarm/Crew agentic solutions.
• Experience with TypeScript, Go, or Java.
