TL;DR
Packaging Operator N2 (Manufacturing): Operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging equipment for efficient production of high-quality products with an accent on equipment changeovers, quality inspections, safety, and production documentation. Focus on troubleshooting equipment abnormalities, tracking downtime and OEE, completing production records, and supporting continuous improvement in a 100% onsite manufacturing environment.
Location: Spring Hill, Kansas, USA; 100% onsite. Schedule: Thursday–Saturday, 4:30 PM–5:00 AM.
Pay rate: $26.54 per hour.

What you will do
- Safely operate, monitor, and maintain packaging equipment according to procedures and work instructions.
- Complete equipment setups, product changeovers, Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication activities, and Centerlining tasks.
- Monitor equipment performance and product quality, conduct inspections, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct minor equipment abnormalities or escalate issues when needed.
- Record production losses and downtime using LED and downtime tracking systems, including OEE notes.
- Collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality personnel, and leadership while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, warehouse, or industrial environments.
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and ability to follow operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, quality focus, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during 12+ hour shifts, move materials, work around machinery, and wear required PPE.
Nice to have
- Packaging, machine operator, or manufacturing operator experience.
- Experience with machine changeovers, equipment setup, quality inspections, and production documentation.
- Familiarity with OEE reporting, downtime tracking, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, CIL, or Centerlining.
