What you will do
- Manage and supervise local project managers and support hiring of project managers and technical engineering staff.
- Identify prospective clients, pursue business opportunities, and promote cross-selling across service lines.
- Coordinate staffing and resources to ensure appropriate talent allocation across area projects.
- Monitor client and project revenue, budgets, financial performance, and cost-saving opportunities with finance and project managers.
- Maintain client relationships and satisfaction beyond individual projects and contracts.
- Support strategic decisions, annual sales goals, growth planning, contract management, presentations, and organizational structuring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering license (PE) or equivalent.
- 8+ years of leadership experience in regional or departmental roles within the rail engineering industry.
- Proven experience in business development, project management, financial oversight, client relationships, contracts, and budgets.
- Strong skills in leadership, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
- Active involvement in professional organizations or technical committees.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree.
- Experience presenting at industry conferences and contributing to thought leadership.
