Utility Technician (Pest Control)

What you will do

• Inspect residential and commercial properties, identify pest activity, perform pest control services, and maintain termite control systems.
• Install Thermal Acoustical Pest (TAP) insulation, including job-site preparation and cleanup.
• Perform exclusion services and wildlife removal, including building and setting exclusion traps.
• Assist with minor construction, repairs, and replacements related to pest damage.
• Explain services and pest-control measures to customers while documenting completed work.
• Follow safety procedures when working around animals, chemicals, electrical current, vehicles, heights, scaffolding, and confined spaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed.
• Clean-shaven face required so respirators can seal properly.
• Basic math, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow product-label mixing instructions.
• Ability to lift and reposition up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors while climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
