Focus on interpreting complex land-rights documents, supervising land personnel, coordinating with clients and technical teams, and resolving issues affecting project schedules and budgets.

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. The role requires work at field locations, governmental agencies, corporate entities, and client offices, including outdoor activities and travel as dictated by project requirements.

Salary: USD $80,600–$84,500 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

  • Provide subject-matter expertise and technical guidance on right-of-way and land documentation processes.
  • Manage the intake, preparation, review, quality control, tracking, and delivery of land and ROW documents.
  • Oversee complex easements, deeds, permits, licenses, and acquisition packages.
  • Lead land activities, including planning, risk analysis, mitigation, corrective actions, and scope or budget change management.
  • Supervise, coach, evaluate, and coordinate land, survey, title, acquisition, permitting, administrative, and construction-support personnel.
  • Report project progress and issues to client representatives and internal leadership through daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Ability to interpret complex land rights, title, easement, and ROW documentation.
  • Ability to walk long distances over varying terrain, lift or move up to 35 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors in varying climates.
  • Ability to travel and work at field locations, governmental agencies, corporate entities, and client offices is required.
