Acceptance Testing Technician, Energy Storage - Level 2 (Remote - Travel Required)

Location: Remote - California, United States, with travel to varying jobsites required 75% of the time

Salary: $110,000–$132,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage and perform testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and energized electrical work at substations and PV facilities.
• Complete commissioning and startup of relay, metering, protection, control, and communication systems.
• Perform transformer, circuit breaker, current transformer, relay, meter, and power quality testing in accordance with NETA standards.
• Supervise, train, certify, and assess Level I technicians while completing jobs with technicians and trainees.
• Prepare, review, and submit accurate test reports, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and teammates while enforcing safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, plus 3–5 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time, work independently in extreme weather and remote locations, and participate in on-call coverage.
• Work toward a C-10 contractor’s license or hold a Certified Electrical Worker Card.
• Valid OSHA 30, NFPA 70E or equivalent, STS, CPR/First Aid, confined-space, H2S/SCBA Awareness, and California Oil Producers Passport Training certifications.
• Knowledge of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications, electrical schematics, troubleshooting, relay and metering systems, and testing applications.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.
