What you will do
- Serve as a technical resource and project lead for repairs and installation of plant equipment, including piping systems, valves, pumps, compressors, and turbines.
- Manage engineering projects from information gathering and calculations through recommendations and completion.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams, outside vendors, and contractors.
- Develop, review, and update maintenance and mechanical integrity procedures to improve reliability and process safety.
- Conduct mechanical failure analyses and report findings to prevent recurrence.
- Assist Plant Engineers with day-to-day engineering activities.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively through verbal and written presentations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with outside vendors and contractors.
- Willingness to become knowledgeable about plant processes, specifications, and materials of construction.
- Commitment to a summer internship or a 7–8 month co-op assignment.
