Compliance Specialist

Location: Hybrid in Almaty, Kazakhstan

What you will do

• Own counterparty KYC and third-party due diligence processes, including reliability, adverse information, sanctions, corruption, and other compliance risks.
• Review high-risk contracts and handle complex, non-standard compliance cases.
• Coordinate compliance processes covering conflicts of interest, charity, sponsorship, gifts, and hospitality.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and maintain statistical tables.
• Develop internal compliance rules and procedures and participate in risk assessment and monitoring.
• Apply automation and AI-driven controls to improve screening and risk detection.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in compliance, KYC/AML, third-party risk, or contract compliance in a global environment.
• Understanding of international anti-corruption legislation, including FCPA and UKBA, and sanctions legislation.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with sanctions and PEP screening tools such as Dow Jones Risk & Compliance or equivalent platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, listening, persuasion, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Advanced English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• ICA or ACAMS certification.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and compliance automation.
