Community Partner Coordinator - WeCARE (workforce development): Building community and employer partnerships to connect clients with suitable jobs, training, and support services with an accent on community relations, client engagement, and regulatory knowledge. Focus on coordinating cross-department solutions, identifying employment and training opportunities, and representing WeCARE services through community meetings and outreach.

Location: New York, NY, USA

Salary: USD 23.07–24.04 per hour

What you will do

  • Meet with community organizations to understand their missions and communicate WeCARE goals and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, business leaders, and other local partners.
  • Identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training opportunities for clients.
  • Compare client qualifications with employer requirements and conduct suitable job and training searches.
  • Coordinate with departments and management to develop strategies and solutions for client needs.
  • Represent WeCARE services, host roundtables, and lead monthly community-based organization meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, human resources, liberal arts, or a related field, plus three years of experience in community relations, sales, or staffing services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the communities served, local needs, and available resources.
  • Strong customer service, engagement, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, state and local guidelines related to program responsibilities.
  • Experience assessing customer needs and making reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to use electronic systems and work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven team environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with publicly funded programs.
  • Experience with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families programs.
