What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve backend services, including new microservices and improving existing ones.
• Translate problem statements into robust technical solutions by collaborating with product and domain experts.
• Contribute to architectural decisions across services, databases, and deployment pipelines.
• Take responsibility for operating services in production, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experiment with and help shape spec-driven development and AI-assisted/agentic workflows.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience building and operating backend systems in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and containerized applications.
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including schema design.
• Practical experience designing, building, and operating microservices and understanding distributed architectures.
• Comfortable operating services in cloud environments, with experience in AWS (ECS, RDS, Lambda) preferred.
• Fluent English for effective work in an English-speaking environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python (FastAPI, Pydantic).
• Proven track record of adopting new tools and paradigms, comfortable working in areas of uncertainty.
