Intermediate-Senior Previs Artist (VFX): Designing and defining shots and sequences in 3D for television and film projects with an accent on camera movement, composition, and visual language establishment. Location: Must be based in British Columbia, Canada. This is a hybrid role with work from home and optional studio presence in Vancouver. Remote candidates must work on Pacific Standard Time.

Salary: $5,600-$8,800/month

What you will do

• Design 3D shots and sequences based on scripts and storyboards.
• Apply strong camera composition and lensing for animation.
• Source and create 2D/3D assets for rough world design.
• Animate objects, characters, and elements to convey story intent.
• Use lighting and atmospheric effects to establish mood.
• Edit previs shots into sequences with rough pacing.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in Previs, Layout, or Animation in VFX for film/TV.
• A recent demo reel showcasing your experience.
• Deep knowledge of Maya for 3D animation, modeling, and lighting.
• Knowledge of real-world camera lensing and vocabulary.
• Basic editing skills (Hiero, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or After Effects).
• Must be located in British Columbia, Canada and work on Pacific Standard Time.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine, Houdini, and Nuke.
• Ability to learn and contribute to existing pipelines.
