What you will do
- Define reliability targets and establish SLIs/SLOs for critical systems.
- Lead reliability architecture by designing and delivering improvements in observability, monitoring, and alerting.
- Drive the reliability roadmap, identifying risks and influencing prioritization.
- Architect and implement sophisticated automation for deployment, scaling, and recovery.
- Lead major incident response and drive long-term fixes through post-mortems.
- Champion SRE culture, mentoring engineers and embedding best practices into the SDLC.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Software Engineering with a focus on reliability.
- Expert-level knowledge of administering, troubleshooting, and tuning Linux-based production systems.
- Strong coding and architecture skills in Python or Go.
- Proven experience driving reliability improvements across teams or services.
- Deep understanding of application architecture, distributed systems, and messaging protocols.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Extensive experience architecting and managing solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GKE.
- Expertise in modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Deep, practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, TCP/UDP, IP).
- Significant experience in financial markets or low-latency trading systems.
