TL;DR

Software Engineer 2 Fullstack (AI): Implementing UX and backend features to impact revenue and DAU for Bing Retail shopping experience with an accent on data mining, machine learning, and A/B testing. Focus on innovating feature ideas, analyzing opportunities, and building dashboards to monitor performance and availability.

Location: Beijing, China. Expected to work from the office at least four days per week if living within a 25-mile commute of a Microsoft office.

What you will do

• Implement UX and backend shopping features to impact revenue, SBS, and DAU.
• Innovate feature ideas and analyze opportunities through data mining of Bing logs and user studies.
• Understand metrics and derive insights from real traffic scorecards to improve performance.
• Build dashboards and online tests to monitor mainstreamed features’ coverage, performance, and availability.
• Collaborate with global partner teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python or equivalent experience.
• Great design, problem-solving, and data analysis skills with a passion for quality and performance.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting to research innovative solutions.
• Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS, etc.).
• 3+ years of industry experiences.
• AI-assisted development experiences.
