What you will do

• Scale services to meet the demands of a global product.
• Actively participate in the end-to-end development of multiple components, from initial architecture to production monitoring.
• Take ownership of well-scoped backend projects with guidance from senior engineers.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Analytics, and Operations to understand user needs and translate them into elegant technical solutions.
• Improve the existing codebase by promoting disciplined software engineering practices.
• Refine the performance of applications and distributed databases.

Requirements

• You have 5+ years of experience developing production-level systems using Java, Kotlin, or similar Object-Oriented languages.
• You have 3+ years of experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, CockroachDB) and a deep understanding of data structures and software design patterns.
• You have a sincere commitment to writing readable code and a proactive approach to technical documentation.
• You have a strong sense of ownership and curiosity about the features you build.
• You hold a BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience).
