Salary: $158,000 - $190,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the design and build of services and features for the finance tech stack transformation.
• Collaborate with Staff Engineers and Product to deliver customer-impacting features balancing quality and speed.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to engineering excellence.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience, focusing on building services using Go, Ruby on Rails, Java, or similar languages.
• Demonstrated success designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs, plus working knowledge of relational SQL databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience designing, building, and scaling payment-processing and payout systems (credit card processing, invoicing, refunds, restaurant partner disbursements, tax calculation).
• Hands-on experience integrating with modern payment service providers and gateways (Stripe, Adyen, Braintree), with a strong understanding of payment lifecycles and compliance (PCI, SCA).
• A quality mindset including security best practices, automated testing, clean code, code reviews, and CI/CD basics.
• Practical experience using feature flags, telemetry, and safe rollout techniques.
