What you will do

• Manage and optimize Linux servers and distributed database systems (e.g., ScyllaDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch) in public cloud environments.
• Proactively monitor system and database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning measures across distributed data clusters.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues within distributed databases, Linux servers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Automate database operations, cluster provisioning, and configuration management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Ansible.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize, scale, and evolve infrastructure and database systems.
• Provide expert guidance on database best practices, system performance, and scalable architecture patterns.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing Linux (Ubuntu) systems and operating SQL/NoSQL databases in distributed environments.
• Experience with ScyllaDB, Cassandra, and/or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and performance tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts including replication, sharding, consistency levels, failover strategies, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in networking and security principles (firewalls, load balancing, TLS, performance tuning).
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle and IaC tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• English: B2+ proficiency required.
