FX Artist (VFX)

TL;DR

FX Artist (VFX): Designing and creating a wide variety of realistic visual effects for feature films, television series, and commercials with an accent on dynamic simulations like destruction, smoke, fire, and water. Focus on achieving high aesthetic quality and technical accuracy while integrating FX elements with lighting teams.

Location: Only EU or UK applicants can be considered for this position. Relocation costs are not covered.

What you will do

• Design and create a wide variety of realistic visual effects, including destruction, smoke, fire, water, and supernatural phenomena.
• Revise simulations based on client and supervisor feedback in a timely manner.
• Work in coordination with the Lighting team to ensure smooth integration of FX elements.
• Work with FX Supervisor and Leads to achieve desired aesthetic quality and technical accuracy.

Requirements

• 3+ years of FX Artist experience in a production environment.
• Strong experience creating a wide variety of FX simulations (water, smoke, fire, destruction, supernatural).
• Experienced in Houdini and Maya.
• Good understanding of generic simulation engines and physics.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently, proactively solving technical issues.
• Well-developed organization and communication skills (fluent in English and/or German).
