Senior QA Engineer (API Testing): Validating and automating REST APIs for backend services with an accent on core logic, security, and performance. Focus on creating sophisticated test collections in Postman, building robust automation frameworks using C#, and dissecting complex backend workflows.

Location: Work From Home 100% of the time, or come in to one of our global offices.

What you will do

Perform end-to-end validation of REST APIs using manual and automated strategies.
Create and maintain sophisticated test collections in Postman using JavaScript.
Build robust API automation frameworks using C#.
Analyze backend workflows and business rules through API behavior.
Test mobile authentication mechanisms.
Ensure the API ecosystem is secure and reliable.

Requirements

5+ years of QA experience with a strong focus on API testing.
Hands-on experience using Postman for manual API validation, writing tests with JavaScript, and maintaining collections and environments.
Experience validating REST APIs, including a strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication mechanisms (e.g., API keys, tokens, OAuth).
Experience testing APIs without UI support.
Experience testing authentication and authorization mechanisms for mobile applications.
Hands-on experience building and executing API automation tests using C#.
Ability to analyze complex backend workflows and business rules through API behavior.
English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Nice to have

Experience with API automation frameworks (e.g., Newman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar).
Experience integrating API tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with JSON schema validation.
Experience testing microservices or gateway-based architectures.
Experience working in Agile teams.
