Location: Hybrid. This role requires candidates to be based in one of the following US Metro areas: Redmond/Seattle, Sunnyvale/Silicon Valley, Austin, or New York City. Expect to come into the office 1-3 days a week on average in the long term, with Austin and NYC potentially being fully remote for 18-24 months while offices are developed.

Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain single page web applications using JavaScript (Ember.js).
• Participate actively in the code review process.
• Take ownership of product delivery and drive technical aspects.
• Collaborate with fellow UX Engineers, Cloud Engineers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Product Managers.
• Initiate and build tools to improve team development experience.
• Help define architecture and coordinate scope and priorities with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of UI development experience.
• Strong foundations and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks (e.g., Ember, React, Angular, Vue).
• Knowledge and interest in developing genuinely accessible interfaces.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working remotely.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with internal and external APIs.
• Must be able to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with client-side build processes and tools (e.g., Ember CLI, Webpack).
• Familiarity with Playwright.
• Experience with API development, UI performance measurement and optimization.
• Experience with web accessibility testing and support.
• Prior experience building enterprise software as a service or in cybersecurity.
