What you will do

• Participate in security control reviews and help test control activities, using data from security tools to capture evidence.
• Identify potential gaps in controls and support recommendations for improvement.
• Help document observations, including root cause analysis and applicable remediation steps, and help prepare reports on control performance.
• Follow established testing methodologies and apply data-driven techniques to support security control reviews.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to understand how controls align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in computer science, management information systems, or a relevant field.
• Interest in information security, cybersecurity, and risk management.
• Familiarity with basic security concepts or openness to learn.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks e.g., NIST 800-53, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls, COBIT.
• English proficiency of at least B2.
• Must be available 36 hours a week for the internship.
• Must be enrolled in the university for the next 9 months of the internship.
• Must be available to start in May 2026.
