What you will do
- Profile GPUs and suggest/implement optimizations.
- Customize Unreal Engine and handle lower-level tasks.
- Research new approaches for VR-specific technical challenges.
- Communicate improvements with designers and artists.
- Aid in creating tools for artists and editing assets.
- Help other technical artists with complex shaders.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5, especially in graphical pipeline tasks.
- Experience in robust game optimization.
- Solid C++ foundations.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Experience with graphics profiling tools (e.g., RenderDoc).
- Good written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Previous work in VR, console, or mobile development.
- Affinity with technical VFX creation tools (e.g., Houdini, Embergen, 3D modeling software).
- Prior experience leading a shipped game.
- Background in VFX, scripting, or other technical arts domains.
- Familiarity with other game engines.
