Software Engineer (Roblox)

TL;DR

Location: Remote. Must be able to work EST/PST hours. Ideal hiring regions are Canada, UK, and LATAM. Regular travel 2-3 times per year is expected for onboarding, RDC, and team meet-ups.

What you will do

• Build and launch features that delight millions of players daily.
• Write clean, performant, and maintainable Roblox Lua code.
• Partner with designers, artists, and producers to craft gameplay experiences.
• Debug and improve live game systems.
• Improve the game on the technical front and maintain high quality standards.
• Playtest and provide design/product feedback regularly.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in CS fundamentals and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with game engines, scripting languages, and version control.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.
• 1+ years of Roblox development experience.
• Must be willing to work EST/PST hours.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent development experience.
• Experience working in game teams.
• Shipped games or features on Roblox or similar platforms.
• Game jam or modding experience.
• Familiarity with live game systems (analytics, economy tuning, balancing).
• 2+ years professional software development experience.
