SDET / QA Automation Engineer (Mobile)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for iOS and Android applications.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA to define acceptance criteria and identify test scenarios.
• Implement end-to-end, integration, regression, and performance tests for mobile apps and backend services.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with engineering teams to triage and resolve defects.
• Maintain high-quality test data, test environments, and device configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience as an SDET / QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong, practical experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android.
• Solid programming skills in Python for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one additional automation language or stack (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript).
• Experience with mobile automation frameworks/tools such as Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or Detox.
• Good understanding of mobile app architecture, APIs, and client–server interactions.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Intune, VMware Workspace ONE).
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, regression).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and experience with bug tracking/test management tools (e.g., JIRA).

Nice to have

• Experience testing REST/GraphQL APIs using automation tools.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Crashlytics, Datadog).
• Exposure to containerization and cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP).
