What you will do

• Build and extend local APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and implement an MCP server and MCP client on Windows.
• Create event-driven workflows such as natural language prompts that trigger Dolby processing.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture, user research, and product value discovery.
• Demonstrate your work and generate technical documentation.

Requirements

• Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in software development or AI engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent skill with Python, familiarity with C++ and interoperability libraries like pybind11.
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Python AI frameworks (e.g., FastMCP, Python MCP SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen).
• Understanding of APIs and API services (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Anthropic API, OpenAI API).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented Generation (RAG), and structured outputs.
• Familiarity with the Windows development environment, including Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between May/June 2026 – August/September 2026.

Nice to have

• Experience designing MCP servers and MCP clients.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems and Windows audio APIs.
• Experience with software test development and automated test frameworks (e.g., pytest or Googletest).
• Interest in audio/video processing, accessibility technologies, and multimedia.
