What you will do

• Contribute directly to AI agent development.
• Build and operate backend systems that power the research platform.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs) with reinforcement learning (RL) to solve reasoning, planning, and world modeling.
• Work within a small, autonomous team with the resources and scale of Amazon.
• Help build a new AI agent development lab from the ground up.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Track record of writing and shipping backend code.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or equivalent database in production.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience as a tech lead or engineering mentor.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS, CDK, data pipelines, and/or ETL.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and frontend web development.
